Executive function treatment covered by insurance
Silver Health delivers CBT-ADHD virtually with licensed therapists trained to deal with the nuances of ADHD and other issues of executive dysfunction.
Sound familiar?
These aren't character flaws. They're the predictable, neurological side effects of ADHD — and they respond well to treatment when the treatment is actually designed for them.
Time Blindness
Struggling to estimate time, constantly running late, or losing hours without noticing.
Task Initiation
Knowing exactly what to do but being unable to start — even when it matters.
Emotional Dysregulation
Intense reactions, rejection sensitivity, and difficulty recovering from setbacks.
Organization & Planning
Losing things, forgetting steps, and struggling to break projects into pieces.
Focus & Follow-Through
Starting strong and fading out, or hyperfocusing on the wrong things at the wrong times.
Working Memory
Forgetting what you were just saying, losing your train of thought, or missing details.

Why most ADHD therapy doesn't work — and what does
Standard talk therapy wasn't built for the ADHD brain. CBT-ADHD was. Developed at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School by Dr. Steven Safren, it's the only behavioral treatment for adult ADHD validated in a large, randomized controlled trial published in JAMA.
-
Thought restructuring — Identify and reframe unhelpful beliefs about your productivity, worth, and capability.
-
Behavioral activation — Build momentum through structured action, not motivation.
-
Skill generalization — Learn strategies you can actually apply across every area of your life.
-
ADHD-specific adaptations — Traditional CBT adapted for shorter attention spans, variable motivation, and rejection sensitivity.
We take insurance — and we handle the verification
You shouldn't have to fight your insurer to get better. We work with most major plans, and our intake team checks your benefits before your first session so there are no surprises.
Don't see your insurer? We also offer a sliding scale for out-of-network clients. Contact us and we'll help figure out your options.
From people who've been where you are
I'd tried therapy before but it never addressed the actual day-to-day chaos of my life. Silver Health taught me systems that fit how my brain actually works. I've kept a job for 18 months now — a first for me.
The time blindness work was a revelation. I didn't realize how much my ADHD was affecting my relationships until we mapped it out. Three months in, I'm on time more often and I actually finish what I start.
My insurance covered most of it, which I didn't expect. The team handled all the verification upfront. I just showed up and did the work.
Built on Research from MGH & Harvard Medical School
Silver Health delivers CBT-ADHD — the manualized treatment protocol developed by Dr. Steven Safren and colleagues at Massachusetts General Hospital's Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Program and Harvard Medical School. Dr. Safren's research established CBT as the gold standard in behavioral treatment for adult ADHD.
In his landmark 2010 randomized controlled trial published in JAMA, Dr. Safren demonstrated that CBT-ADHD produced significant improvement in 67% of medication-treated adults — more than twice the rate of the comparison group — with gains sustained at 12-month follow-up. Our clinicians are trained directly in this evidence base, not a generic approximation of it.

Common Questions
No. Many of our clients come in with suspected ADHD or executive function challenges but haven't been formally diagnosed. We can work with you regardless, and we can refer you to assessment resources if a diagnosis would be helpful for your treatment or insurance coverage.
Our clinicians are licensed therapists who also integrate coaching techniques. This means you get the clinical depth of therapy — including emotional work, trauma-informed care, and formal diagnosis — alongside the skill-building and accountability of executive function coaching.
We offer telehealth services nationwide. As long as you have a device with a camera and a stable internet connection, we can work with you wherever you are in the United States.
We handle insurance verification for you. Before your first session, our intake team will contact your insurer, confirm your benefits, and give you a clear picture of any out-of-pocket costs. No surprises.
Most clients begin seeing meaningful changes within 8–12 sessions. We typically work in 12–16 week blocks, reassess, and build from there. Treatment length depends on your goals — some clients finish in a few months, others work with us longer for maintenance and support.
We use a HIPAA-compliant video platform. All you need is a device with a camera and a stable internet connection. Sessions work from your home, office, car, or anywhere private.
